The first weekend of October Sant Sadurní d´Anoia has celebrated one of the most special editions of the Cavatast fair, the 25th anniversary edition. The cava & gastronomy fair has opted this year to repeat the reduced format that it already proposed in the 2020 edition, in order to adapt the event to the health measures imposed by the pandemic.

As it already happened in 2020, the initiative of the new format has been very well received by the public and the thirty exhibitors attending the fair. One the best valued things is the possibility of direct contact between producer and consumer that this fair model allows.

On Friday, October 1, the Cavatast opened doors with all the tickets sold in the four spaces where the tastings were held (in the Juvé & Camps, Freixenet, Vilarnau and Canals & Munné cellars), and also with all tickets sold out for the different activities scheduled throughout the weekend.

This year the complementary tasting activities were expanded thanks to the collaboration of the entities of the cava sector such as the AECAVA, the Regulatory Board of DO Cava and the Cofradía del Cava Sant Sadurní. Thus, the Codorníu cellars hosted on September 22 the II Night of the Magnums, and the Fassina de Can Guineu winery and the Blancher cellars have also been the setting for different tasting activities organized within the Cavatast.

Now the Sant Sadurní Town Council Tourism Department will open the debate on the fair model for next year 2022, which is scheduled to be held on the weekend of September 30 to October 2.
