AECAVA, the Cava Producers Association, and fifteen publishers propose a unique initiative for Saint George's Day: Saint George in the cellars. On the weekend of April 24th and 25th, twenty-six wineries will celebrate the day of the rose and the book opening its doors with activities linked to literature.

Prominent names of Catalan literature form the poster of the Sant Jordi als cellers initiative: Eva Baltasar, Jordi Cabré, Najat El Hachmi, Martí Gironell, Jordi Llavina, David Nel·lo, Marta Orriols, Eva Piquer o Vicenç Villatoro are some of the thirty writers who will visit the wineries. The authors will present their novelties outdoors surrounded by vineyards and will sign copies of their books.

In addition to book presentations, a number of complementary activities are proposed. Each winery has prepared cava tastings, visits, pairings with chocolates and cheeses, children's activities, snacks and vermouths among vineyards. The activities, which will comply with all sanitary measures against covid-19, will have limited capacity.
