This month's visit to the Cava Centre includes a tasting of Fonpinet Brut Nature Gran Reserva cava.
Fonpinet is a 100% family-run winery in Sant Sadurní, which started making cava in 1948. They work with organic agriculture and make their products with the native varieties of the Penedès region. Chardonnay and pinot noir grapes are also used in some coupages, which provide interesting characteristics to their wines.
Their Gran Reserva cava, with a minimum ageing of 30 months in the bottle, is made with Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada grapes. It is intense in aromas, structured and silky on the palate, with fine, integrated bubbles.

Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday, visits at 11am, 12.30pm and 4.30pm. Sundays, at 11am and 12.30pm. Mondays closed.
