Housed in a former distillery that produced wine-base spirits built in 1814, the Cava interpretation Centre - CIC Fassina -, invites you to discover the origins of Catalonia's sparkling wine: cava, the history of the vines, its architecture, the people at the centre of the wine industry and the spirit of celebration that have turned Sant Sadurní d'Anoia into the unargueable Capital of Cava.
The visit to Freixenet cellars, a family business that has become one of the largest cava producers in the world, will show you the tradition and culture of the magnificent world of cava. Visit the cellars and delve into the process of making their cavas. Walk down the old underground mines of its century-old winery in an exciting guided tour to discover the history of Freixenet at a depth of 20 meters.
