The Tourist Office of Sant Sadurní has renewed for the third consecutive year the Biosphere certificate, a hallmark that guarantees the commitment to quality and sustainability of the municipal tourist service.

The award ceremony took place on January 30, at VINSEUM, in Vilafranca del Penedès, within the framework of the presentation of the Penedès Tourism Consortium's 2020 Action Plan, headed by the president of the Penedès Tourism Consortium, Ramon Riera, the president of the Alt Penedès Regional Council, Xavier Lluch, and the Councilor for Tourism Promotion of the Vilafranca City Council, Dolors Rius.

The Biosphere© certification is granted by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), the Diputació de Barcelona, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. This recognition aims to extend the culture of sustainable tourism and respect for the territory to tourism businesses and services, and the Penedès Tourism Consortium coordinates its development in Penedès.
