DIM2020

On May 18, the Cava Interpretation Center participates in the celebration of the International Museum Day 2020, organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, activities are carried out virtually.

The CIC Fassina organizes online activities, free and open to all audiences so that everyone can participate and interact on its website and on social media.

The theme of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) for the celebration of International Museum Day 2020 is 'Museums for equality: diversity and inclusion'. It is a celebration that unites all the museums in the world with a common goal: raising awareness of museums as an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and the development of mutual understanding.

We encourage you to follow the activities on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Stay tuned to the networks on May 18.

Open windows: The history of the ancient Fassina de Can Guineu

Did you know that originally the Cava Interpretation Center building was built to make wine distillates? It was a very frequent drink in taverns at that time and that type of brandy could be obtained in the same town of Sant Sadurní, in the old Fassina de Can Guineu. The installed distillation system was custom designed and with cutting-edge technology. Find out more about the old history of the CIC Fassina by playing online activities:
