On the weekend of October 2, 3 and 4, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia hosted a new edition of Cavatast, the sectorial Cava & gastronomy fair of great popularity in Catalonia. The fair, which was held in a special format, brought together around thirty exhibitors including cava producers and restaurants, delicatessens and chocolate shops and around 1,300 visitors. The different tasting activities were divided into four unique spaces in Sant Sadurní: Cavas Codorníu, Cavas Freixenet, Cavas Vilarnau and Cavas Canals & Munné. This distribution allowed to control the capacity and guarantee all the security measures and protocols.
Throughout the weekend, visitors were able to enjoy a large selection of high-end cavas, regional food, as well as live musical performances by local artists in each space.
During the event, a total of sixteen tasting sessions were held, 4 on Friday, 8 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.
Satisfaction of the public and the organization
Although the show has been held in a completely different format than usual, the Cavatast has maintained the same essence as in previous editions. The new formula has been very well received by visitors and participating companies.
The exhibitors agree that, thanks to this new format, they have been able to offer a much more professional and personalized attention to visitors, who highly value the fact that they have been able to shop more comfortably.
Once the exhibition is over and having evaluated the good reception of this special edition, the organization concludes that the format has been very popular with all the agents involved, both exhibitors and attendees. Over the next few weeks the possible continuity of these organizational aspects will be assessed for future editions.
