On June 1, the renovation work begins on the museum elements of the Cava Interpretation Center, CIC Fassina, located in the historic building of La Fassina de Can Guineu, in the central Hospital street. Completion of works and reopening are scheduled for September 15.

Opened in its entirety in July 2012, the CIC Fassina has functioned as the Cava Interpretation Center since 2011. Now, after ten years, the Sant Sadurní d'Anoia City Council intends to completely renew the museum discourse, taking advantage of that Sant Sadurní is one of the 14 municipalities that have been selected to carry out actions of the Penedès 360º project, led by the Alt Penedès County Council, and subsidized by the FEDER fund, with co-financing from the City Council.

The Center will be closed during renovation work, but the Tourist Office and the store will remain open during their normal hours.

The project, written by Grop Exposiciones y Museografía, following the announcement of a public competition in 2019, and being carried out by the STOA company, provides a completely new museum concept, a space for learning, play, always with Cava as central theme and common thread. The new center will complement the high private tourist offer and the other museum resources that are already in the territory, and will coexist with the tourist information point service and with the various activities carried out in the Celler Gran.

Those who want to visit the Cava Interpretation Center as well as the festive elements of Sant Sadurní, have until May 30.
