The great challenge this year for the Sant Sadurní d'Anoia City Council was to once again carry out a Cavatast in a fair format and celebrate it in a new, much larger, greener place with more possibilities.
The challenge has been overcome and the organization has been very satisfied with the general response, since the event has been very well received by the public, wineries and gastronomic establishments.
This result is also corroborated by the first data from a survey carried out from a sample of 410 people, by the social and economic impact studies company The Whatsons, which rated the new location with 8.9 out of 10. In addition, factors such as the conditioned spaces, the live music and the decoration of the new location have been appreciated by the visitors, who have valued the event with a note above 9.
The new public represents 25% and the family remains at 30%. This new format has brought together a diverse public of all ages, thanks also to the organization's commitment to offering an offer beyond cava. The new format has attracted the attention of a new audience that had never attended Cavatast -represented by 25% of attendees-.
The origin of the visitors to the Cavatast crosses the borders of Sant Sadurní, and even the same region of Alt Penedès. Most of those who have enjoyed the fair came from Barcelona and province, attracted by the wide variety of activities around cava and gastronomy.
The complementary activities that have taken place in the La Fassina de Can Guineu winery, in the cellars and in other spaces, have received a good influx of public and a very positive evaluation by all the attendees, who have been able to enjoy tastings, concerts, craft shows, guided tours and other wine tourism experiences.
The future of Cavatast is ambitious: from the City Council, it is expected that the success of this new format and location can be reflected in future editions, in which more companies in the sector want to join the Cavatast call and thus make it grow as a fair.
