This month, the visit to the Cava Centre includes a tasting of Panot Gaudí Brut Reserva by Cavas Hill.
Located in Moja (Olèrdola), Cavas Hill is the legacy of the entrepreneurial spirit of a British man, Joseph Hill, who settled with his family in Penedès, at the end of the 18th century, to cultivate vineyards and make wines. In 1918 the cellars were renovated by the architect Antoni Pons, an emblem of Catalan Modernism in Penedès at that time.
The Panot Gaudí Brut Reserva cava wants to pay tribute to this modernist past and the optimistic and dynamic spirit of the family. Made with the varieties of Xarel·lo, Chardonnay, Macabeo and Parellada, it is an expressive and intense cava, with notes of mandarin and anise, and a good acidity that makes it very fresh.
